amperand, finalist at the XIII Edition of Deck&Docks

Lanzadera, Juan Roig's business accelerator, which belongs to Marina de Empresas, has launched Deck&Docks, an online investment forum for startups. The forum brings together private investors every month -Venture Capital (VC), Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), Family Office, Business Angels- interested in learning about entrepreneurial projects.

A selection committee, formed by Angels, Big Ban (Raúl Aznar), StartupsLabs (Tom Horsey) and Successful Ventures (Daniel Romy), is in charge of choosing the participating startups based on criteria such as team, competitive advantage or scalability of the startups, among other factors.

We are therefore proud to announce that Angels Deck&Docks has selected amperand, among five other startups, to present our project on shared urban mobility to more than two hundred investors on 17 June.

In addition to listening to and assessing the startups' proposals free of charge, Deck&Docks attendees will also receive training sessions given by renowned investors from the national scene.

The forum will be attended by leading investment figures such as José Cabiedes (Cabiedes & Partners), Miguel Kindelán (GP Bullhound), Francisco de la Peña (Invertidos), Samuel Gil (JME), Carlos Blanco (Encomenda), Carina Szpilka and Marc Clemente (K Fund).

Deck&Docks is part of Lanzadera's initiative to further support entrepreneurs in their fundraising processes. The accelerator has a Portfolio Manager, whose role is to help startups prepare their rounds, define their strategy and present themselves to investors.

As explained by Javier Jiménez, CEO of Lanzadera: "Deck&Docks was created with the intention of keeping the link between investors and entrepreneurs alive and shows Lanzadera's commitment to training startups in fundraising. The forum is a complement to Lanzadera's Investors' Day, which is a major annual investment event that we organise, in person, once a year since 2014".

During the current financial year, Lanzadera has closed 12 investment rounds amounting to €15 million.

In 2019, some 30 companies that have gone through Lanzadera such as Witrac, Essentialist, Ekuore, Siguetuliga, Sepiia, Healthy Poke or Afterbanks, among others, have successfully closed investment rounds for a total of €10 million.

Lanzadera is in charge of inviting investors to participate in the forum, which will be held on the penultimate Thursday of each month with the exception of August and the month in which Investors' Day is held.
